  • Facilitation of on-site training and technical assistance in more than 40 states

  • Participation in the Priority Populations Initiative of the American Legacy Foundation

  • Development of a culturally appropriate smoking cessation training protocol

  • Development of a communications infrastructure including a website (www.NAATPN.org), listserv and on-line newsletter

  • Parlaying national meetings into national consensus around a strategic plan for tobacco control in communities of African descent.

  • Worked with national organizations, former Secretaries of Health and Human Services, and House of Representative members to address menthol in the proposed FDA regulatory legislation (HR 1108/S 625)
